It often arises in therapeutic situations that sexual desire simply disappears during the weekdays, but when a little time off, a long weekend comes, it seems as if the desire returns to the relationship. Is this also the case during the holiday season?
According to an American-Portuguese study, people do indeed have more sex at Christmas. The researchers see this primarily because couples are filled with many pleasant feelings and positive events during the holiday season, which provide favorable conditions for them to tune into eroticism. According to a survey by a condom manufacturer, half of those surveyed sacrifice on the altar of love on Christmas Day. According to self-confessed interviews, respondents do not wait until the evening to have sex. Many people already stop for a while during the day while traveling, or sneak into the bathroom for a few stolen minutes, or perhaps they go away with the slogan “let’s take a break from lunch” and make love.
But to see specifically Hungarian data: the effect of this calm and stress-free period can also be measured in birth statistics. Data from the Hungarian Central Statistical Office (KSH) shows that 7 of the 10 most common birthdays fall in September. These are the facts, please!
Of course, we can also say that while the Christmas season has a positive effect on the libido of those in long-term relationships, the freedom of New Year’s Eve can spice up the sex lives of those who are not yet committed. After all, we are constantly told to spend our free time actively… fortunately, no form of exercise is excluded from the range of activities.
